Frequently asked questions

I bought a ticket, where do I show up to get on the tour?

Right at Hankcock park in downtown Dahlonega. Hancock park is over by the Chestatee diving bell, which is well marked from downtown. Once at the park, look for the big gold van around your tour time! There is plenty of free public parking around Hancock park, just plan on getting there 10-15 min early to find a space. The Address is 53 Hawkins St. Dahlonega, GA or you can follow this link: https://goo.gl/maps/9PhQS6wcRdp7ukUU7

Is there hiking or other physical requirements?

On the mountain pass tour, no. You climb into the van, and only exit back in the park in downtown dahlonega on tour completion. All abilities are welcome, however no chair lift is available.

sometimes we do, yes. We run rain or shine, however saftey is our biggest concern. Sometimes the off road path is subject to tree falls, or other conditions that make a tour not possible that day. If conditions are considered unsafe, we will cancel a tour, notify all guests, and issue a full refund.

Can I bring food or drink?

No outside food is allowed on our short tour! You can bring a personal drink, as long as it has a lid or sealable top. We can not allow any alcoholic beverages of any kind.

Am I going to get motion sickness?

We hope not! The roads are windy, and some times, you might think the windy will never end, but it will! Overall, our drivers aim to drive as cautious as they can as to not rock the van! If needed, you may want to take your own motion sickness medication before the tour. Monster Van will provide sickness bags just in case!

What time does the tour depart?

Doors close and we roll at your scheduled tour time, so a 2pm tour starts right at 2pm. Plan accordingly, and give yourself 10-15 minutes to park, finalize your waiver if needed, and find your way over to the van.

Are there any stops on the tour?

No. There are no stops. Per the national forest service, our tour can not exit the vehicle and enter the trail system on foot. This also means no bathroom breaks, so plan accordingly.

Can I bring my dog or other pet?

No, only service animals are allowed on the van.
